Botswana & Sri Lanka 2024

Botswana & Sri Lanka 2024

Dear Travellers,

We have teamed up with our local experts in Botswana and Sri Lanka to offer these two authentic wildlife, history and cultural expeditions to Botswana and Sri Lanka in 2024.

Twelve days in Botswana will be spent discovering the Central Kalahari Desert, Okavango Delta, Chobe National Park (Botswana’s first national park) and Victoria Falls. As you can imagine, the wildlife encounters are breathtaking, as you come face to face with the likes of elephants, lions, hippopotami, giraffes, zebra, hyenas, cheetahs and more. Please click here to read about our 12 Days in Botswana, a short overview of Patrick Bates’s first visit to Botswana and his experience on tour in 2020.

While much smaller in size, Sri Lanka is bursting with life thanks to the country’s long conservation history. Not only will we discover Sri Lanka’s magnificent wildlife (Asian elephants, leopards, sloth bears, monkeys, Sperm whales, Blue whales etc.), but we will also uncover the country’s rich history and culture, as we visit historical fortresses, temples and monasteries. Join Coates’ Managing Director, Tom Grove, on this enchanting island.

BOTSWANA WILDLIFE SAFARI

BOOK HERE

Maun – Victoria Falls ~ 10 – 21 March 2024 ~ 12-Day Lodges/Safari Camp Tour

BOTSWANA’S LUSH GREEN SEASON IS ALL ABOUT THE PROLIFIC GAME & BIRD LIFE…
The green season is Botswana’s most productive and colourful time, offering natural experiences travellers would miss during the dry busy tourist season. There’s an explosion of new life as the young offspring are still small and it will be a treat to watch their comical and endearing antics as they learn to face life.

Botswana is committed to small-scale eco-conscious travel and in keeping with that ethos, we will stay in small traditional classic safari mobile camps and lodges with minimal footprints on the land and wildlife.

We charter flights between safari locations to maximise your time and comfort by avoiding long drives over rough dirt roads. The views from the air are also pretty amazing.

  • Day 1 – 3        Maun – Central Kalahari Desert
  • Day 4 – 6        Central Kalahari Desert – South Eastern Okavango Delta
  • Day 7 – 9        Okavanga Delta – Chobe
  • Day 10 – 12    Chobe – Victoria Falls
