Whilst traveling with a small group, at a relaxed pace we cover some of the most remote areas in the Northern Territory and North West Australia. The wildlife should be plentiful, the scenery and sunsets spectacular.

Newhaven Station or Wildlife Sanctuary is co-managed by Birds Australia and the Australian Wildlife Conservancy. It is around 650,000 acres in size and is situated on the edge of the Great Sandy Desert.
The Sanctuary is home to a diverse range of arid zone plant and bird life. There are a number of plants and birds here that are of conservation significance. Surveys to date have recorded 107 plant species and 138 species of bird. There has also been a number of small to medium sized mammals recorded on the station.
The second major highlight of the trip will be our detour off the Tanami Road and our circumnavigation of Lake Gregory.
The lake system is recognised as being vitally important for migratory birds traveling to and from Australia. There has been a wide range of bird life recorded around the lake, including Black Necked Stork, large groups of Brolgas, Black Swan, Spoonbills, Yellow Chats, Letter Wing Kites plus many more. The lake is also home to a diverse range of mammals the most obvious being wild horses and dingoes.
