For the duration of our safari we will be escorted by our local accredited guide, Darren Humphrys. Darren bid farewell to his native Western Australia in 1997 to join an overland tour through Africa. Since then he has been guiding tours in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

Darren's passion for Africa, it's people, cultures and wildlife eventually drew him to Cape Town where he now lives with his Aussie partner Kate, operating their own travel and tourism business, Compass Odyssey.

Through his intensive guiding over the past decade, Darren has a deep knowledge of Southern Africa's mammals and birdlife, and also harbours a keen interest in the region's history, and the current events shaping their future.
