Broome to Kununurra
Kununurra to Broome
The Kimberley coast lying north of Broome is one of the most stunning and isolated areas in the world. Join our ornithologist / naturalist leader Kevin Coate on this unique natural history expedition as we explore offshore islands and reefs, plus the natural beauty and spectacular scenery of the awsome gorges, rivers and waterfalls found along the coast. Whilst onshore experience the bird life, reptiles and other wildlife along with Aboriginal art sites, culture and European history.
During the trip there will also be opportunities to visit Aboriginal art and cultural sites. Along with the avifauna there will also be an array of sea life, reptiles and botanical highlights.
Kevin Coate who has been conducting natural history tours to the area for over 20 years will join the experienced crew on board our cruise vessel the Flying fish Five, jointly they will help you experience each location to it's fullest.
The Flying Fish Five is a purpose built charter boat. She is 23 metres in length with a 6.0 metre beam. The boat was built in Perth in 2000. She is surveyed to carry 20 passengers in open waters and sleeps comfortably up to 20 passengers using shared facilities.
By limiting our numbers on this cruise to a maximum of 18 passengers plus our leader you can be assured that you will be cruising this magnificent wilderness area with an intimate group of like minded passengers.
An on board desalination plant will provide adequate supplies of fresh water for drinking and washing. The ocean and a well equipped galley, ample chiller and freezer space will provide the ingredients for the cook to provide all meals while cruising.
Note: The following Itineraries may need to be re-arranged due to the massive tidal movements that occur through the region.
Note: To ensure maximum time at each location the vessel will travel some nights.
