Join us as we enjoy the benefits of small group travel with time to experience the birds, botany and a great outback experience.
This is no ordinary West to East crossing, this expedition follows the Track known as the Anne Beadell Highway (Named after the wife of Len Beadell the man who surveyed this and many of the better known outback tracks).
The
trip departs from Perth and heads to Laverton then onto the Len Beadell
Highway. The track takes us through the Great Victoria Desert via Neale
Junction, Vokes Hill Corner, Emu Junction and then via the Woomera test
site onto Coober Pedy. There is time in Coober Pedy to have a look at
this mining town where many of the dwellings are underground.
Leaving Coober Pedy we head south to William Creek and visit Lake Eyre. We leave the desert region the north and move into the Flinders Ranges. Some of the many wonders that we will see whilst travelling through the Flinders include Brachina Gorge, Bunyeroo Gorge and Wilpena Pound.
The Flinders Range National Park offers a green sanctuary for local flora and fauna as well as being a geological wonderland. The trip has been timed to coincide with the Flinders Ranges wildflower season.
The return trip to Perth will include time spent visiting the Eyre Peninsula and the Nullarbor Plain.
