Join us as we explore the remote Lorna Glen Station North East of Wiluna, Western Australia.
Control of the ex pastoral leases of Lorna Glen and Earaheedy Stations has been passed to the Department of Conservation and Environment and are the centre of their Range Land Restoration program.
The program is designed to reintroduce 11 native mammal species to the area over an eleven year period. To date there has already been Bilbies and Brushtail Possums reintroduced. With further gains in the control of feral preditors there is expectations that Numbats, Chuditch and Bandicoots will follow.
The station also supports an extraordinarily rich array of flora and fauna with more that 480 vascular plant species and 220 vertebrate species identified. There are also 14 small mammal species and at least 70 reptiles known.
