12 Day Camping & Tag Along Tour

Perth - Perth

Small Group
(max. 6 participants in leader's vehicle,
max. 2 tag along vehicles)
Highlights:
- Wave Rock
- Granite Woodlands Road
- Holland Track
- Woodlines
- Cave Hill.
Join us and experience the features of the world’s largest temperate woodland, including the Holland Track and the historic woodlines (where timber cutters operated from 1899 to 1964). The Great Western Woodland (GWW) covers an area the size of England, and is home to 3,000 flowering plant species, rare mammals, frogs, reptiles and birds.
Measuring at 16 million hectares, an abundance of wildflowers and magnificent eucalypts grow prolifically in the GWW. The area is populated by several species of eucalypt, including Mallees, towering Salmon Gums, Dundas Mahogany and Gimlet. Wildflowers are abundant in the woodland, and as our tour is timed to coincide with the wildflower season you will enjoy the spectacular display of colour they produce.
The Gilbert’s Whistler, Southern Scrub-robin and Purple-gaped Honeyeater will be targets to see among the 120 bird species that live in the area. Other special birds we may be lucky enough to see include the Malleefowl, Freckled Duck, Pink-eared Duck, Spotted Harrier, Inland Dotterel, Bush Stone-curlew, Little Buttonquail, Major Mitchell’s Cockatoo, Budgerigah, Black-eared Cuckoo, Red-backed Kingfisher and Western Yellow Robin.
Walks are included wherever possible. Wonderful scenery together with breathtaking wildflower displays will provide perfect photographic opportunities daily. All this is included in this comfortable, small group tour where you will have the opportunity to mingle with like-minded people and pursue your special interests.
